I go by the Internet handle of "Gobbs" or "G0bbs", (there's a zero in the latter), and I play games, chat about general science, gaming communities and astronomy.  My background is kind of varied having a diploma in Medical laboratory Technology and a BSc in Computer Science.  My career path has been a bit strange from working in a hospital laboratory to industrial work and recently I retired from the I.T. field working for the last 18 years as an I.T. manager for a local charity.  For now, I maintain my house, look after my wife, Mother  and Mother-in-law, beginning blogging and streaming games on Twitch.


 The stream is, admittedly, a bit random right now as I am trying various games to find my groove.  I stream because I like the community, it keeps me out of trouble, and the technology is pretty interesting.  Streaming also allows me to use the hardware I have lying around the house as I am bit of a "junk collector" when it comes to tech.  I hate to toss out old technology if it still works.  I will find a use and purpose for it.


 As far as where I am physically located, it's in Canada, somewhere in Northern Ontario and yes, I am sick of the snow we have received this year,  I have a snow bank that is well over 7 feet tall as of this writing and spent 14 hours cleaning snow off off my Mother-in law's roof.  It was easily 4 feet deep.
